Irene Lopez Leon, originally from Barcelona, describes her works as a landscape painting. Although they have nothing to do with the classic natural space. Her landscapes are within a hypnotic and impossible universe where it shows other ways of perceiving reality from a deep and mystical conception. It is the representation of a place between the conscious and the unconscious. Uncritical, timeless, holistic, inductive and symbolic, which leaves criticism, deduction and temporal logic afar. Nature and open spaces created through organic & geometric compositions, neon colors and technical perspectives that provoke a slight hypnotic sensation and give movement within the plane.
Although the description of Irene is almost metaphysical, the concepts do not worry her much, because it’s also correct to say her that there is nothing to understand within her art, because it is made simply to be viewed and not to think, to be lost and to be carried in a kaleidoscope of colors and dimensions.
