Ryan Joseph Gallery welcomes Michael Camarra for his debut solo exhibition in Denver, Mystic Wasteland.
Born in 1983, Michael is a New York area-based visual artist exploring our relation to nature through narrative paintings. He has a BFA in Communications Design from Pratt Institute.
Michael has had his work shown across the country and abroad in group shows and solo exhibitions. His work has been published in Beautiful Bizarre Magazine, Supersonic Art, and ImagineFX magazine, and has been interviewed for Artsy AF podcast.
In regards to his new exhibition, Michael presents:
“Mystic Wasteland is about the uncertainty of our future and what echoes of the past and present will linger on. In this series, we are presented with the ruins of our contemporary world. What happened to our world is as enigmatic as those who inhabit the wreckage. In the absence of the trappings of modern life, where do our inheritors turn for answers and guidance? I intend to present a vision of our future that is less brutal and, instead, one that is more esoteric.”
